An important early heads-up for and riders: Beginning the weekend of November 18-20 and continuing for several weekends in 2024, and trains won't run between Manhattan and Queens while we work to make Queensboro Plaza station fully accessible. trains will provide direct service between Manhattan and Queens. Learn more.
Here's what's happening this weekend:
- Uptown trains aren't stopping at 14 St
- trains aren't running between Queensboro Plaza and 34 St-Hudson Yards
- trains aren't running between Hewes St and Broad St
- trains aren't running between Myrtle Av and Delancey St-Essex St
- trains aren't running between 34 St-Herald Sq and Kings Hwy

Major subway service changes
trains, Manhattan and Bronx
From 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, uptown
trains are not stopping at 14 St, and uptown trains are running on the express track from Chambers St to:- 18 St
- 34 St-Penn Station
This is because of accessibility upgrade work. For service to/from bypassed stations, take a downtown train and transfer, or consider using nearby
stations on 8 Av. trains, Manhattan and Queens
trains are not running between Queensboro Plaza and 34 St-Hudson Yards in either direction from 12:15 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday because of accessibility improvement work.
- Free shuttle buses are running in two sections:
- trains are running between Queensboro Plaza and Flushing-Main St.
- For service between Manhattan and Queens, take trains.
- Special weekend service is running every 20 minutes between Whitehall St and Astoria-Ditmars Blvd from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
- 42 St Shuttle trains will run overnight.
Queensboro Plaza-bound
trains are running on the express track from Mets-Willets Pt to 74 St-Broadway from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday because of track replacement.- For service to/from bypassed stations, take a Flushing-bound train.
trains, Manhattan and Brooklyn
From 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday,
trains aren't running between Hewes St and Broad St, and trains aren't running between Myrtle Av and Delancey St-Essex St. This is because of equipment installation work.- Free shuttle buses are running between Hewes St and Delancey St-Essex St. Look for signs outside your station for walking directions to the shuttle bus stop.
- For service to/from Lower Manhattan, use nearby stations at Bowling Green, Wall St, Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, and Canal St.
- For direct service between Manhattan and Brooklyn, take trains.
- trains are running between Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and Hewes St.
- trains are running between Middle Village-Metropolitan Av and Myrtle Av.
trains, Manhattan and Brooklyn
trains aren't running between 34 St-Herald Sq and Kings Hwy in either direction from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of track maintenance.
- Free shuttle buses are running along two routes:
- Local between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and Kings Hwy
- Non-stop between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and Kings Hwy
- Look for signs outside your station for walking directions to the shuttle bus stop.
- For service to/from 14 St-Union Sq, Canal St, and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, take trains.
- For direct service between Midtown and Brooklyn, take trains. Transfer to/from trains at 34 St-Herald Sq and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.
- Between 96 St and 34 St-Herald Sq
- Between Kings Hwy and Coney Island-Stillwell Av

trains, Bronx
Uptown
trains are running on the express track from 3 Av-149 St to E 180 St from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday because of structural maintenance.- For service to/from bypassed stations, take a Manhattan-bound train.
- Reminder: trains only run between Dyre Av and E 180 St overnight.
trains, Bronx
Manhattan-bound
trains are running on the express track from Burnside Av to 149 St-Grand Concourse from 5:45 a.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Sunday because of track maintenance.- For service to/from bypassed stations, take an uptown train, or use nearby train stations on the Grand Concourse.
trains, Bronx
Pelham Bay Park-bound
trains are running on the express track from 3 Av-138 St to Parkchester from 5:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday because of track maintenance.- For service to/from bypassed stations, take a downtown train.
trains, Queens
Manhattan-bound
trains are running on the express track from Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av to Queens Plaza from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of station improvement work.- For service to/from bypassed stations, take a Queens-bound train.
- Overnight, when trains normally run local, Manhattan-bound trains will run on the express track between these stations.
- Reminder: trains don't run in Queens overnight.
Long Island Rail Road service changes
All Branches
Trains are rerouted and running on a special schedule from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of bridge replacement work related to the widening of the Van Wyck Expressway.
- Westbound trains aren't stopping at Kew Gardens, Forest Hills, and Woodside*.
- *Port Washington Branch trains are stopping at Woodside.
- Present your LIRR ticket to a subway station agent at Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK, Kew Gardens-Union Tpke, Forest Hills-71 Av, and Woodside-61 St for entry at no additional cost.
- Westbound Port Jefferson and Ronkonkoma Branch trains aren't stopping at Elmont-UBS Arena, Queens Village, and Hollis. Take Hempstead Branch trains instead.
- All Hempstead Branch trains will run to/from Atlantic Terminal. Transfer at Jamaica for service to/from Grand Central or Penn Station.
- All West Hempstead Branch trains will run to/from Grand Central. Transfer at Jamaica for service to/from Atlantic Terminal or Penn Station.
