Welcome to the first official weekend of winter! It looks like the weather will match the season, so we hope you have some fun wintry plans—and whatever they are, public transit is the best way to get there.
If you're traveling to JFK airport this weekend, note that trains aren't running to Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK Airport. Take the to Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK Airport or the to Howard Beach-JFK Airport.
And a heads up for those traveling next week about service over the Christmas holiday:
- The subway will run on a weekday schedule on Tuesday, Christmas Eve, and on a Sunday schedule on Wednesday, Christmas Day.
- Buses will run on a reduced weekday schedule on Tuesday in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan and on some Queens routes. On Staten Island and on other routes in Queens, they'll run on a regular weekday schedule. On Wednesday, buses in all boroughs will run on a Sunday schedule.
- The LIRR will run on a weekday schedule on Tuesday and a Sunday schedule on Wednesday.
- The Metro-North Harlem, Hudson, and New Haven lines will run on a Friday schedule on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. On Wednesday, service on these lines will run hourly. The Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines will run on a weekday schedule on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and a weekend schedule on Wednesday.
Here's what else is happening this weekend (also viewable as a handy map):

- trains aren't running between Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and Crescent St.
- trains aren't running between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy.
- Coney Island-bound trains are running on the from Lexington Av/63 St to 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr and on the to DeKalb Av.

Major subway service changes
trains, the Bronxtrains aren't running between Woodlawn and Kingsbridge Rd from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday because of signal maintenance.
- For service between Woodlawn and Kingsbridge Rd, take free shuttle buses, which are making all stops between these stations.
trains, Brooklyn and Queens
trains aren't running between Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and Crescent St in either direction from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of track replacement.
- For service between 121 St and Crescent St, free J90 shuttle buses are running between Jamaica Van-Wyck and Crescent St, making all stops between 121 St and Crescent St.
- When exiting the subway at Jamaica-Van Wyck or Crescent St, get a GO Ticket from a station agent to re-enter.
- For service to/from Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer and Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK Airport, take the .
- For service to JFK Airport , take the to Howard Beach-JFK Airport or the to Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK Airport.
- trains are running between Crescent St and Broad St.
trains, Brooklyn
trains aren't running between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy in either direction from 3 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday because of track replacement.
- For service between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy, take free shuttle buses, which are running on two routes:
- Local, making all stops between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and Canarsie-Rocakway Pkwy.
- Express, stopping only at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs, Broadway Junction, and Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy.
- For service between Brooklyn and Manhattan, take
- Transfer between shuttle buses and trains at Broadway Junction or Junius St (Livonia Av).
- When exiting the subway at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs, Broadway Junction, or Junius St, get a GO Ticket from a station agent to re-enter.

- trains are running between 8 Av and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs, every 8 minutes during the day and evening and every 12 minutes overnight.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday:
- Coney Island-bound trains are running on the from Lexington Av/63 St to 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr and on the from 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr to DeKalb Av.
- Downtown trains are making express stops from 57 St-7 Av to Canal St.
This is because of drainage improvement work.

- During the day and evening, trains are running every 12 minutes while trains share a track.

From 11:15 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Euclid Av-bound
and Queens-bound local trains aren't stopping at Ralph Av and Rockaway Av because of structural maintenance.- For service to/from these stations, take a Manhattan-bound local train.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Jamaica-bound
trains aren't stopping at 169 St and Sutphin Blvd and Jamaica Center-bound and Jamaica-bound trains aren't stopping at Briarwood. This is because of electrical improvement work.- For service to/from bypassed stations, take a Manhattan-bound train.
